Man Shot to Death While Pumping Gas

A man was fatally shot as he pumped gas in Pacoima on Sunday, authorities said.
Detectives were investigating the shooting death at a gas station at Herrick Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard when 30 to 50 gunshots were heard nearby, said LAPD Sgt. Rudy Alaniz.
Police sealed a 10-block area and found a car that witnesses said was involved in the shooting. A suspect in the car allegedly got into an argument with the man who was pumping gas before shooting him, Alaniz said.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to an area hospital, where he died. Alaniz did not have the identity of the suspect, who was arrested.
