Student Is Shot at Party in La Canada

An 18-year-old high school senior was in guarded condition Sunday after being shot at a post-prom party in La Canada, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
Deputies were called to a house in the 5100 block of Green Crest Road shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. A male student had been shot in the face during a confrontation involving students from La Canada and South Pasadena, Sgt. Carlos Avila said.
The injured La Canada High student, who was not identified, was taken by paramedics to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Avila said.
