These contributions were reported by major candidates on the Oct. 7 ballot who have received sums of at least $100,000 for their gubernatorial campaigns. Totals are for all contributions through Aug. 23 and contributions of $1,000 or more through Friday. Donations of $1,000 or more must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.

* The Viejas Indian tribe sent $21,200* to Bustamante’s campaign fund; they also gave $1.5 million to Bustamante’s 2002 lieutenant governor committee. The wives of H. Frank Dominguez and Mansour Moattar Aliabadi -- executives at the Vanir Group, a company with construction contracts in California public schools -- each gave $21,200 after their husbands gave identical gifts last week. The United Domestic Workers of America, a San Diego union, gave $15,000.

* Schwarzenegger gave $1.5 million to his campaign committee, adding to the $2 million he previously gave. Thirteen donors from Texas gave a total of $40,000.

Two anti-recall committees, which are not subject to the same contribution limits as candidates, have raised more than $5.9 million to help Gov. Gray Davis.

Taxpayers Against the Governor’s Recall has reported receiving more than $2.4 million from 177 contributions. Californians Against the Costly Recall of the Governor has reported raising more than $3.5 million, with $254,500 from 11 contributions reported since Friday.

* Entertainment executive Haim Saban contributed $100,000 to Californians Against the Costly Recall, doubling his anti-recall contributions to $200,000. Michael D. Ray, an Irvine real estate investor, gave $50,000. The California Nurses Assn. gave $25,000.

*Contributions to candidates from each outside source are limited to $21,200. There is no cap on the amount candidates can give their own campaigns.
