The home price sky is not falling

I am often asked as a Realtor, “When are housing prices coming down?” The answer is when the following events occur:
The inventory of homes for sale jumps dramatically.
“Reduced” signs show up on most of the active listings.
Price reductions are posted on many listings.
When homes that once were selling in days are on the market for months.
For now, these events have not occurred.
