Dorsey Defeats Sylmar in Opener

Jeremiah Johnson ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns to lead Los Angeles Dorsey High past Sylmar, 20-6, in a City Section season opener at Rancho Cienega Park on Friday night.
Johnson scored on a 50-yard run with 5 minutes 24 seconds left in the second quarter to open the scoring. His second touchdown run, with 5:09 left in the third quarter, gave Dorsey a 20-0 lead.
Stafon Johnson returned the second-half kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.
Sylmar quarterback Terry Newsome scored on a four-yard run with 10:39 left to play.
Dorsey finished with 220 yards and held Sylmar to 175.
