Things Aren’t Always the Way They Appear

I need new glasses. I was looking at The Times’ college football schedules, and I thought I saw that the Trojans were having a BYE on Sept. 6. I was relieved to think that they wouldn’t have to play again so soon after facing nationally ranked Auburn in the opening game.
Imagine my surprise to find that they were not having a bye, but were going to be up against tough BYU. I may have vision problems, but I do know you don’t spell relief BYU.
