Man Arrested After Hijack Threats

A drunken Lebanese man was arrested after he allegedly threatened to hijack a Royal Jordanian plane, Thai police said.
Airline security officials on Flight 184 detained Jamal Ahmed Seif after it landed in Bangkok from Jordan’s capital, Amman, said Tourist Police Lt. Arthit Chartchairattavej.
Seif, who is said to be in his 30s, was kept on the plane, which was bound for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was expected to be sent back to Jordan today, the officer added.
Seif was not carrying any weapons or explosives, according to Thai police.
