Fire Causes $2 Million in Damage at Bookstore

Textbooks, notebooks and other supplies worth a total of nearly $700,000 were damaged in a fire Saturday at the Cal State Dominguez Hills campus bookstore, officials said.
Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Brian Nicholson said the blaze was being treated as being of suspicious origin.
The fire began about 8 a.m. and firefighters doused it within an hour. No one was hurt.
The damage was estimated at $2 million.
