Stay retired

I was so glad to see Howard Rosenberg step out of his retirement and back on the beat as a Times political columnist in his piece, “The Making of the President, 2001” (Sept. 7) ... wait ... wasn’t he a Times television critic?
Oh, well, with his subtle snips at Arnold and his obvious detestation for George W. in his review, I thought maybe he had changed careers.
As a publicist, I’ve had my share of bad reviews for my clients’ productions from Mr. Rosenberg, but I have always had great respect for him and his critiques. But after reading his political commentary
Shame on you, Howard!
