Body Found in Possible Drug Deal Gone Bad

A man was found shot to death Tuesday morning on a Panorama City sidewalk in what may have been a drug deal turned violent, police said.
The body of Carmelo Perez, 21, of Panorama City was found about 4:20 a.m. in the 14000 block of Parthenia Street, said Det. Mike Oppelt.
“We don’t know if the victim was involved in a transaction, but we are operating on the belief it was a drug transaction gone bad,” Oppelt said.
