City Seeing Itself With Park-Rich Future

This fast-growing city wants to eventually be known for its parks.
Under a recently adopted city master plan, West Sacramento’s park space would more than triple in the next 20 years.
The price tag for the long-range plan is $169 million and will come mostly from increased developer fees, state bonds and federal grants, said Don Schatzel, director of parks and community services.
