Five people, including three children, suffered minor injuries Wednesday when a pickup jumped a curb and hit them at a San Clemente bus stop, officials said.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies arrested the driver, John Anderson, 52, of Capistrano Beach, on suspicion of driving under the influence, and booked him into county jail.
The incident occurred about 4 p.m. at Camino de Estrella and Avenida las Palmas, said Lt. Hans Strand, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department.
All five victims -- including two boys, ages 7 and 8, and an 8-year-old girl -- were taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo and treated for minor injuries, Strand said.
Investigators did not release their names.
