BOYS’ BASKETBALL
* Chris Brown, Long Beach Poly: Had 24 points to lead the Jackrabbits, ranked No. 22 in the Southland by The Times, to a 79-76 double-overtime victory over No. 12 Calabasas in the Huntington Beach Ocean View tournament.
* Mike Danielian, Van Nuys Grant: Scored 49 points, including five three-point baskets, in an 84-72 victory over Westlake Village Oaks Christian in the Thousand Oaks tournament.
* Michael Schindler, Granada Hills: Had 19 points, including a three-point basket in the final seconds, for a 64-63 victory over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in a Reseda Cleveland tournament semifinal.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Kali Bennett, Ventura: Had 21 points for the No. 12 Cougars in a 47-40 upset of No. 3 Newhall Hart in the Ventura Buena tournament.
* Courtney Ford, Villa Park: Had 11 points, including a three-point basket with a minute left in overtime, for a 53-50 victory over San Clemente in the Fullerton Troy tournament.
