Rancher Arrested After Woman Hits Steer, Dies

A 69-year-old rancher who authorities allege habitually let his cattle run loose was arrested for manslaughter after Kimberly Johnson of Auburn, Wash., was killed in a car collision with one of his black Angus steers, police said in Logan.
According to the arrest warrant, Darrell Kunzler has a 30-year pattern of failing to contain his livestock, despite requests by law enforcement officers.
The warrant cites 31 police reports in the last four years regarding Kunzler’s stray cattle, including five highway collisions involving cows.
