Regarding “France, America’s Longtime Champion” [Her World, Dec. 5]: France seems to have Times writer Susan Spano in its back pocket, having convinced her that perfection abides in all things French. The sacrifice France made on behalf of our revolution is noteworthy. If Spano wants to know what real sacrifice is, she should take a walk through the American cemetery in France overlooking Omaha Beach.
Aside from this, anyone denying that he or she is American when visiting overseas should have his or her passport lifted.
