Visit Monterey County in the next two months and save money at 27 hotels, including small B&Bs;, Victorian inns and large ocean- front resorts.
Rates start as low as $49 a night (at the Monterey Hotel); seven hotels have nightly room rates of less than $100. The rates are available Jan. 1 to Feb. 28.
The hotel specials are part of a winter promotional package called “Wild for Nature” that emphasizes Monterey’s nonhuman winter visitors: birds, whales and monarch butterflies. Nature tour discounts also are available.
