Fire destroyed a church in Santa Ana on Christmas, leaving two small congregations without a place to worship, authorities said.
The building on West McFadden Avenue near Euclid Avenue, which served the Calvary Lutheran Church and the Saigon Reform Presbyterian Church, caught fire about 4 p.m. Saturday.
By the time firefighters were called, flames had charred the interior and were coming out the windows. Authorities said the fire took about 20 minutes to extinguish. The cause is under investigation.
The Lutheran church has about 30 members. The Vietnamese ministry has about 150 members.
