Nuclear Plant Faces Safety Inspection

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will perform a special structural safety inspection of the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant, which was rocked by last week’s magnitude 6.5 earthquake along the Central Coast.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and county Supervisor Peg Pinard had requested the additional examination.
