BOYS’ BASKETBALL
* Shaun Giordano, Lake Arrowhead Rim of the World: Made two free throws in overtime to seal the victory after making a layup at the end of regulation to force overtime in a 75-72 nonleague victory over Apple Valley Granite Hills.
* Larry Gordon, Montclair: Converted an offensive rebound for the winning basket with 23 seconds left and finished with 17 points in a 50-49 nonleague victory over Baldwin Park Sierra Vista.
* Willie Cook and Osaar Rasshan, Pomona Garey: Cook had 17 points and 15 rebounds and Rasshan had 19 points and 14 rebounds in a 65-63 nonleague victory over No. 24 Bellflower St. John Bosco.
* J.R. Martinez, Manhattan Beach Mira Costa: Finished with 34 points, including four three-pointers, 13 assists and five steals in an 83-64 Bay/Ocean crossover victory over North Torrance.
* Matt Nunez and Rocky Hampton, Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon: Nunez scored 30 points and Hampton set a school record with seven blocked shots in an 86-46 nonleague victory over Palm Springs.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
* Leah Murphy, Simi Valley: Had five assists to give her a school-record 314 in her career and finished with 21 points and five three-pointers in a 52-38 nonleague victory over Glendale.
* Clarissa Ricks, Reseda: Finished with 25 points and 20 rebounds in a 53-46 quarterfinal victory over L.A. King-Drew in the Roosevelt tournament.
* Lauren Pedersen, Brea Olinda: Had 16 points to lead the No. 6 Ladycats to a 55-53 victory over Naples (Fla.) Barron Collier in a consolation game of the Naples tournament.
BOYS’ SOCCER
* Shaun McElwee, Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills: Scored three goals and Chris Wood added two in a 7-0 nonleague victory over Orange.
* Juan Labrada, Anaheim Canyon: Scored in the 30th and 42nd minutes in a 2-0 pool-play victory over La Mirada in the Anaheim Canyon tournament.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
* Jessica Birnbaum, Irvine Northwood: Made 11 saves and Joyce Chun scored in the 49th minute in a 1-0 victory over Chino Hills Ayala in Claremont tournament pool play.
