Teenage Boy Killed, 2 Wounded in Shooting

A 17-year-old boy was killed during an apparent gang-related shooting, Los Angeles police detectives said Tuesday.
Ruben Patino and two other boys were shot multiple times by a passenger in a dark car as they walked down Monte Vista Street about 7:55 p.m. Monday, detectives said.
Patino was pronounced dead at Huntington Memorial Hospital. A second youth was in stable condition at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center and a third was treated and released, detectives said.
