Pedestrian Killed on Way to Church

A pedestrian on her way to Mass in Orange was killed early Friday when she was hit by a car, authorities said.
Loc Thi Nguyen, 74, of Garden Grove was struck as she walked near Lewis Street and El Prado Avenue at 5:55 a.m., police said. The driver fled the scene. A passerby saw Nguyen’s body in the road and called police.
Authorities arrested Theresa Francis Clark, 39, of Laguna Hills nearby on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. She is being held on $100,000 bail.
