Seven bank robbery suspects were arrested Wednesday after several shots were fired at a getaway vehicle by the FBI’s SWAT team, officials said.
Acting on a tip, the FBI, assisted by about 15 Buena Park officers, placed the Los Angeles National Bank near Orangethorpe and Knott avenues under surveillance about 12:30 p.m.
When the robbers ran out and got into a vehicle, FBI agents fired two shots. The vehicle then struck an FBI vehicle and two private cars. There were no injuries, said an FBI spokeswoman.
