Jacobs Is in Talks to Acquire Scottish Firm

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. of Pasadena said it was in negotiations to acquire Babtie Group of Scotland.
Babtie is a technical and management consultancy specializing in infrastructure needs including transportation and utilities and has 3,500 employees.
Jacobs, with more than 35,000 employees worldwide, provides engineering, design and construction services. Its shares closed at $44.63, up 30 cents, on the NYSE.
