Mubarak’s Surgery a Success, Official Says

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak underwent successful back surgery, Health Minister Mohammed Awad Afifi Tag Din said in a broadcast on state television.
Din said doctors in Munich, Germany, had operated on Mubarak, 76, to correct a slipped disk. Michael Mayer, the head surgeon on the team that performed the operation, said there were no complications.
