From Times Wire Reports
As of Thursday, the cost of crossing any of the Bay Area’s seven state-owned bridges will rise from $2 to $3.
Drivers who use FasTrak, a system designed to get motorists through the tollbooths quickly, will continue paying $2 through Oct. 31.
About 100,000 drivers daily pay tolls with FasTrak on the state bridges, said Caltrans spokesman Jeff Weiss. That’s about 25% of all users. Caltrans is encouraging motorists to sign up for FasTrak and receive the discount.
