Consumer Spending Rises 0.4% in March

The Commerce Department reported that consumers boosted their spending by 0.4% in March. That followed another 0.4% increase in February, according to revised figures.
Americans’ incomes, meanwhile, also rose solidly in March, increasing by 0.4%. That came on top of a 0.5% gain in February.
