Oxnard Man Is Killed in Crash

A 42-year-old Oxnard man died after his car smashed into a tree, authorities said Friday.
Henry Salupen was driving west on 5th Street east of Victoria Avenue about 10:15 p.m. Thursday when his vehicle veered toward the median and hit a palm tree, Oxnard police said.
Salupen died at the scene as a result of head injuries.
