Clara and the prince
Ventura County Ballet Company will help lead the rush into the holiday season with its offering of “The Nutcracker.” Bretislav Weidlich will direct a cast of more than 120 students from area ballet schools, plus professional dancers from Russia and the Czech Republic.
Ventura County Ballet Company presents “The Nutcracker,” Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way. Saturday, 2 and 7 p.m. $9-$21; four-ticket family package, $48. (805) 486-2424.
