Rosemead-based Edison International said Thursday that it was raising its quarterly dividend by 25% to 25 cents a share.
Edison suspended its dividend during the state’s 2000-01 energy crisis as its Southern California Edison utility teetered on the brink of bankruptcy. It resumed payouts in January at the quarterly rate of 20 cents a share. The higher dividend will be payable on Jan. 31, 2005, to shareholders of record on Dec. 30.
