FTD Group Inc., which offers same-day delivery of flowers through a network of florists, filed Tuesday to sell shares to the public less than a year after being taken private by an affiliate fund of Los Angeles-based Leonard Green & Partners. The company will raise as much as $180 million to redeem and pay dividends on its preferred stock, FTD said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. FTD was taken private in February in a $420-million deal by Green Equity Investors.
