Caribbean Heritage on Parade in Brooklyn

Tens of thousands of people celebrating their Caribbean heritage with music, dancing, food and flags thronged a Brooklyn boulevard for the annual West Indian American Day parade and festival.
“This is a parade that has had a few problems in the past, but last year was better than the year before, and the year before was better than the year before, and this year it’s going to be even better,” predicted New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.
