Modest Mouse: party planners
Modest Mouse, the veteran alternative rock band that made a commercial breakthrough with the single “Float On” this year, has been named as curator of the third annual All Tomorrow’s Parties music festival, which will be Nov. 6 and 7 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
Modest Mouse, which will headline the first night, will be the primary programmer of the festival, which has established a reputation as an eclectic, cutting-edge showcase. The only other confirmed acts are the Shins and the Flaming Lips.
Advance tickets are available at the festival’s website (www.atpfestival.com) now, and will go on sale Thursday through Ticketmaster.
