Probe of Rigged Letters From Prison Narrows

Federal and state authorities have narrowed their investigation to one person in the case involving at least 16 governors who were sent letters from a Nevada prison that were rigged to catch fire.
“They have a focus for their investigation,” said Glen Whorton, assistant director for the Nevada Department of Corrections. Authorities confirmed that a 16th letter was sent to the office of Alaska Gov. Frank Murkowski. In three cases, a match inside the envelope flared when the letter was opened.
