Aviation extravaganza
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Point Mugu Air Show will entertain the masses with the Patriots Jet Team -- noted as the only civilian jet demonstration team in the U.S. -- plus a slew of other current and vintage military aircraft, aviation simulators and flight demonstrations. Also featured during the weekend-long event, the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team, John Collver in his WWII-era AT-6 performing aerobatics, the wing-walking Silver Wings team and the A-10A Thunderbolt II demonstration team.
Point Mugu Air Show, Naval Base Ventura County, Las Posas Road exit off Highway 101, west to Point Mugu. Saturday-Sunday till 4 p.m. Gates open at 8 a.m. Admission and parking, free.
