Mortgage Rates Keep Downward Trend

Rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages declined to 5.70% for the week ended Thursday, down from 5.75% last week and the best showing since the beginning of April.
For 15-year, fixed-rate mortgages, rates fell to 5.10% from 5.13% last week. Rates on one-year adjustable rate mortgages fell to 4%, compared with 4.03% the previous week.
The nationwide averages for mortgage rates do not include add-on fees known as points. Each mortgage type carried a 0.7 point fee.
