Palestinian Gunmen Abduct CNN Producer

Palestinian gunmen abducted CNN producer Riad Ali in Gaza City, pulling him from a company van, witnesses said. CNN correspondent Ben Wedeman, who was in the van with the producer, said the assailants asked for Ali by name.
Wedeman said he didn’t know the motive for the abduction. CNN released a statement calling for Ali’s release.
The Israeli military closed the main crossing into the Gaza Strip but would not say if the move was tied to the kidnapping.
