Man Who Left Disabled Car Is Hit on I-5, Dies

A man was killed Thursday when he was struck by a big rig while attending to his disabled car on the side of a freeway, officials said.
The man, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, died while attending to his car about 11:40 a.m. on the southbound I-5 south of Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills, officials said.
Authorities are searching for the driver, officials said.
