Typhoon Causes Floods; Death Toll Rises to 18

Typhoon Nabi weakened to a tropical storm after killing at least 18 people, flooding towns and causing landslides in southwestern Japan.
Still packing winds up to 67 mph, it moved over the Sea of Japan and later hit the northern island of Hokkaido, where up to 10 inches of rain was expected, the Meteorological Agency said.
More than 300,000 people had evacuated in the southwest. Several people are listed as missing.
