Live Grenades Prompt Three-Hour Evacuation

Residents of a mobile home park were briefly evacuated Friday after police found three live World War II-era hand grenades in the mobile home of an elderly man who had died.
A family friend found the grenades while cleaning the home in the 15000 block of Bushard Street, said Lt. Jack Davidson. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad ordered the three-hour evacuation while disposing of the grenades.
