Mutual Housing memories

ThankS for the article [“The Simple, Modern Life” Oct. 5] about the Crestwood Hills. My family was one of the original members of the Mutual Housing Assn., and ours was the 21st house completed in 1951, after three long years of contractor bankruptcies and labor problems. The model in the article was the same as ours, which is a California historic landmark listed as the Kalmick House on Rochedale Lane. It was a great place to grow up, and the area has the same charm it did in the ‘50s.
