Mike Lee will remain as baseball coach and a teacher at Claremont High School, athletic director Rick Dutton said Wednesday, after Lee met with parents on Monday night to discuss issues related to his previous job coaching at Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks.
Lee resigned from Westlake in March, citing health reasons, but a memo from Principal Ron Lipari obtained by The Times revealed that Lee had sent inappropriate text messages to a player and was later reprimanded.
Lee was hired Sept. 4 to teach and coach at Claremont.
