Oscar nominations 2013: Cast your vote with our Play-at-Home Ballot

Now that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced this year’s Oscar nominees, the awards race has entered the home stretch, pitting the 16th president against a bayou girl, a pair of bounty hunters in the antebellum South, a singing ex-con, an elderly French couple, a bipolar Eagles fan, a boy lost at sea with a Bengal tiger, and two very different CIA agents.
Movie buffs will have to wait until the ceremony Feb. 24 to find out whether a heavy-hitter such as “Lincoln” (with 12 nominations) or “Life of Pi” (with 11) will dominate, or whether an underdog like “Beasts of the Southern Wild” or “Amour” (each has four nominations) can steal some thunder.
For those keeping score at home, you can share your predictions and opinions via The Times’ Play-at-Home Ballot. After marking your selections — they’re all there, from lead actress to visual effects — you can share your ballots via Facebook and Twitter with the click of a button.
The race so far has already delivered snubs and shockers, and further surprises surely await. Prognosticators who need to brush up on this year’s nominees are encouraged to check out our full Oscar coverage.
