Rumor mill churns around Beyonce’s guests at Super Bowl halftime show

Rumors continue to rumble about who will join Beyonce at the Feb. 3 Super Bowl halftime show and what song she’ll perform first. Inquiring minds also are preoccupied with whether the pop superstar plans to actually sing at all on Super Sunday or will lip-sync, as she did while delivering “The Star-Spangled Banner” at President Obama’s inauguration, according to the Times of London.
In certain dark corners of the Internet, there are even forums devoted to the urgent question of whether Beyonce should or shouldn’t lip-sync at America’s premier sporting event. There’s almost as much chatter and speculation about the talent lineup, etc. as there is about whether the Baltimore Ravens’ defense will be able to contain Colin Kaepernick.
A gambling man might say that the smart money is on Destiny’s Child, the gal group where Beyonce first made her pop-star mark, taking the stage at the Superdome in New Orleans alongside Beyonce. Bettors also are laying odds on what song Beyonce will open her set with (Not surprisingly, “Crazy In Love” and “Single Ladies” are heavy favorites.)
