Harvard-Westlake 1, Newport Harbor 0
Sophomore midfielder Brenna Moeljadi scored off a rebound of a penalty corner attempt granted in the wake of a Newport Harbor foul with 14 minutes left in the first 30-minute half of the championship match at Fountain Valley High.
Harvard-Westlake (12-2-4) earned its second title in three years with the victory. The Wolverines defeated Newport Harbor (14-2-5) in penalty strokes in the 2002 final before losing 2-0 to the Sailors in last year’s championship game.

Third Place game
Glendora 2, Bonita 1
Melanie Pasillas scored the go-ahead goal off an assist by Bridget Horwath in the second period to lift host Glendora at Fountain Valley High. Pasillas also assisted Katie Ruth who scored in the first half to give the Tartans (9-1-3) a 1-0 lead at the break.

Harvard-Westlake 7, Bonita 0
Katie Wong scored three goals and Dani Laufer scored the first goal to lead host Harvard-Westlake (11-2-4) at Moorpark College.
Newport Harbor 1, Glendora 0
Championship match, Thursday at Fountain Valley
Newport Harbor (14-1-5) vs. Harvard-Westlake (11-2-4), 3:15 p.m.
The championship game is a rematch of last year’s final, which Newport Harbor won 2-0. The Sailors and Wolverines played to a 1-1 draw in a nonleague game in the opening week of the 2004 season.
