Monroe 4, Franklin 3
With top-seeded Monroe trailing 3-2, Stephanie Oliphant defeated Cynthia Avila, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 1 singles and Geradine Jiravanichsakul beat Sandra Park, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 3 singles as the Vikings (9-5) rallied for a victory over eighth-seeded Franklin in a match that had been suspended because of darkness on Wednesday.
Monroe advances to play Reseda in a semifinal match on Wednesday.

Carson 4, Venice 3
Dominique Redd and Samantha Pacleb earned the deciding point with set wins of 6-0 and 6-0 at No. 2 doubles and Camille Orpiano won her sets, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles to lead host and No. 3-seeded Carson over No. 6-seeded Venice.
Palisades 7, Marshall 0
Krista Slocum won at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1, and freshmen Kathryn Cullen and Sara Yankelevitz each swept, 6-1, 6-0, for host and No. 2-seeded Palisades (12-2), which will play Carson at Balboa Park on Monday at 1 p.m. Marshall finished at 13-2.
Granada Hills 6, North Hollywood 1

Cleveland 4, Garfield 3
Alice Yeh and Maya Harel, playing No. 3 doubles for Cleveland (4-9) defeated Angelica Alvarez and Maria Delgado, 2-6, 7-6 (10), 6-4, at Cleveland.
Reseda 7, Downtown Magnets 0
Twin sisters Anna Tran and Annie Tran won their sets, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 doubles to lead host and No. 4-seeded Reseda (10-4) over No. 5-seeded Downtown Magnets.
Sylmar 4, Eagle Rock 3
Senior Jessica Padilla defeated Lin Hsieh, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 2 singles for visiting Sylmar (8-5) in an upset of second-seeded Eagle Rock.

First round
Marshall 4, Chatsworth 3
Amanda McNally and Phoebe Minette of Marshall defeated Christina Dong and Laura Hwang of Chatsworth, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, to clinch the victory at Marshall (10-2). Wendy Eav won at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 7-6 (8), over Priscilla Ortiz of Chatsworth in another critical win. Hillary Kidwell and Melissa Kidwell won, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles over Dandi Dandan and Tammy Lu to give Chatsworth (9-3) an early lead.
North Hollywood 5, Westchester 2
North Hollywood’s Desiree Stone, at No. 1 singles, improved to 13-0 by defeating Simone Greene, 6-2, 6-3, in a match featuring the City’s No. 1 and 4 seeds in Individuals. Eighth-seeded North Hollywood (9-3) plays at top-seeded Granada Hills on Wednesday. For the Comets (8-6), Princess Manasseh won at No. 2 singles, (8-6), 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.

Sylmar 6, Elizabeth Learning Center 1
The No. 2 doubles team of Edith Perez and Veronica Rascon defeated Anabel Martinez and Viridiana Munoz, 6-1, 6-0, to lead the Spartans (7-5) in a playoff victory over visiting Elizabeth Learning Center.

Wendy Maciel won, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles and Ivette Lopez won, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 2 singles to lead host Bell (13-0), the No. 5 seed, over No. 12-seeded Taft.
Venice 5, Van Nuys 2
Jenna Yoshikawa won at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1, for host Venice (12-2). The No. 1 doubles team of Megan Bernstein and Christina Lam also won, 6-3, 6-0, as did the No. 3 doubles team of Lindsey Cohen and Leslie Quintanilla, 6-1, 6-2. Van Nuys finished 11-3.
