Historic Jane Addams Hull House

Jane Addams’ vision for a home for the disenfranchised blossomed in the late 19th century, largely through her efforts to win the support of wealthy Chicago women’s groups rather than relying on sectarian groups to build what would become Hull House, historians say. On Jan. 26, 2012, the Hull House closed.
