Female skateboarders answer the roll call at Huntington Beach competition

The eighth annual Exposure tournament Saturday in Huntington Beach pitted 200 female skateboarders from around the world in competition for a $65,000 purse.

The event at Vans Off the Wall Skatepark was a benefit for Human Options, an Orange County nonprofit that serves victims of domestic violence.

The all-day event, billed as the largest for amateur and professional female skateboarders, also included a vendor village, a game zone, T-shirt and jewelry making stations and a learn-to-skate clinic.
