A deceased woman found in Eastbluff Park earlier this month was identified by the Orange County coroner’s office as Merry Watanasrimongkol, 36.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Carrie Braun said that Watanasrimongkol was a transient and does not have a last known residence. Coroners said Watanasrimongkol died due to pulmonary thromboemboli, a lung condition in which material — typically a blood clot — is wedged in an artery in the lungs.
The woman was found on Oct. 3 when a passerby came across her body at about 8 a.m. and reported it to police.
