Mariners come back to beat Dodgers, 8-7

The Mariners saved their best for last on Saturday, rallying with a

two-run sixth inning before holding off the Dodgers in an 8-7 Fountain

Valley Little League Majors Division game played at Mile Square Park.

Tim Nash singled, doubled, and had two RBI, and Justin Maddux and Josh

Larson each finished with two singles to lead the Mariners.

Joel Stanton singled and had an RBI double, Sean Atchison had a double

and two RBI, and Brian Faust hit an RBI single for the Dodgers.

Marlins 13, Royals 2

Martin Duran singled twice, doubled, and drove in three runs, Zach Moore

singled three times, Jessey Cordero singled and had two-RBI double, Jeff

Spirk singled and doubled with two RBI, Michael Britt had a pair of

singles, Bobby Johnson hit a two-run double, and Ryan Britt had an RBI

double to highlight a 16-hit attack by the Marlins. Dustin Jamison had an

RBI for the Royals.

Cardinals 6, Yankees 2

Greg Nakatani had an RBI single and threw a complete game victory and

Andrew Bender singled and tripled for the Cardinals; Phil Burden singled

twice with an RBI and Dorian Chavez tripled for the Yankees.

Dodgers 10, Cardinals 7

Sean Atchison doubled three times and added three RBI, Brian Faust

singled twice with two RBI, Dominic Santana had two RBI, and Travis

Koehler had an RBI single to lead the Dodgers; Kyle Craft had two singles

and Grant Furuya had an RBI single for the Cardinals.

Marlins 5, Yankees 0

Martin Duran had an RBI triple, Jeff Spirk doubled, and Spirk and Jessey

Cordero combined on the mound to shut out the Yankees on two hits; Jeff

Mitchell doubled and Matt Fink singled for the Yanks.

Royals 9, Mariners 4

Les Obie had a two run double and scored three runs, Dustin Jamison

singled twice, James Martinez and Brian Kacoullas each had a hit and RBI,

and Daniel Elo had an RBI for the Royals; Adam DeLuna singled twice,

Brian Case singled with an RBI, Josh Larson had an RBI, and Ryan Buckles

and Joe Musser both doubled for the Mariners.
