Joan Irvine Smith, Laura Davick and other players working to shape the
future of Crystal Cove are scheduled to appear on a local cable show
today to discuss the issues.
They are set to appear on the show “Cox Forum,” available in Newport
Beach on Channel 3 at 7 p.m. today. Viewers will be able to call into the
show from 7 to 7:30 p.m. to ask the guests questions.
In addition to Smith and Davick, who have co-founded the nonprofit
Crystal Cove Conservancy, appearances are expected from Ken Kramer, the
cove’s chief lifeguard, and William Habermehl, the superintendent of the
Orange County Department of Education.
The group will discuss how to renovate the 46 cottages on the beach in
Crystal Cove State Park and a state-of-the-art fund-raiser the
conservancy has scheduled for Oct. 20.
Viewers may reach the show by calling (949) 240-0355.
